Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-11-01

These terms cover your use of Virtual Try-On Abakira (“the app”), a Shopify app run by Abakira LLC (“we”, “us”). By installing the app you accept them. If you don’t, don’t install it.

1. What the app does

It adds a “Try it on” button to your product pages through a theme app block. A shopper ticks a consent box, uploads a photo of themselves, and gets an AI-generated preview of your product on them. The preview is made by Google’s Gemini image model from the shopper’s photo and your product image. It is an illustration, not a promise of fit, color or size. We change features over time.

2. Plans, usage billing and your spending limit

There is a free plan with a small monthly number of try-ons, and paid plans that include more try-ons and charge per try-on beyond that. Prices and limits are in the pricing section of the app’s page on the Shopify App Store and in the plan page inside the app. Shopify bills you on your Shopify invoice. We never see your card.

Only try-ons that delivered a preview are counted. Failed or refused ones are not. You set a monthly spending limit in the app; when it is reached, the button stops generating previews until the next month or until you raise the limit. We also stop generation for a shop when our own cost for it reaches a fixed ceiling. The usage shown in the app is counted per calendar month (UTC) and is an estimate; your Shopify invoice is the reference.

You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app. Shopify applies the change as described in its own billing terms.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Shopper photos and your data

Shopper photos are not kept: each one is used for a single preview and deleted right after, and the preview itself is not stored. The details, and everything else we collect, are in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You remain the controller of your store’s data; we process it on your behalf.

5. Generated images

Previews are generated by an AI model and can be wrong: the garment, the body or the background may not match reality. Google may refuse to generate a preview for some photos. Previews carry Google’s SynthID watermark, which marks them as AI-generated. Don’t present them as real photographs.

6. Uninstalling

You can uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. The button stops working at once, and we delete what we hold for your shop as described in the privacy policy.

7. No warranty, limited liability

The app is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be free of errors or always available, that every photo will produce a preview, or any level of sales or returns. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost sales or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you are on the free plan. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms and don’t fix it after we tell you, if the app is being used to create abusive images, or if Shopify, Google or the law requires it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling.

9. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, the date at the top changes. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the new version.

10. Governing law

These terms are an agreement between you and Abakira LLC. They are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute about them or about the app goes to the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, and you and we both accept their jurisdiction.
